Knowledge Circle Project Produces schematic designs and exhibit narratives for the museum’s multi-media, issues-based exhibitions in consultation with the California tribes and professional museum design firm, IQ Magic. Supported by a major grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Native Americans, Social and Economic Development Program.

Pomo Language Repository Develops and models and interactive web-based database of Pomo language resource materials to assist Pomo language learners and to coordinate preservation of the Pomo languages. Funded by a major grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Native Americans, Language Preservation Program.

Native Storytelling Project Presents, sustains and advances California Indian storytelling by developing a multi-media mobile storytelling theater coupled with digital storytelling technology training for Native youth.  Supported by grants from the Institute for Museum and Library Services, Museums for America Program, the Fireman’s Fund Foundation and the Bill Graham Foundation.

California Native Plants Garden Displays California native plants and provides education on their use in California Indian traditional diets within the context of California Indian resource management practices and health and wellness. Made possible by a grant from the Natural Resources Conservation Service.

Special Exhibitions The California Indian Museum and Cultural Center develops special exhibitions in conjunction with various museum partners including the University of California Berkeley, Phoebe Hearst Museum of Anthropology and the Santa Rosa Junior College, Jesse Peter Museum.
